It's official. Harrison is to be no more. Talk about a major bummer - we loved our car. This is WAY more depressing then the Dr. Who episode . . . .
It's still all mainly about the Melo (look whose picture is prominently placed at the top of this page!), and what we're in to, up to, and trying to do, and all of the other good bits in between.

But what made me more bummed was the fact that our car was hit by a drunk driver last night. Fortunately, our car was just parked outside on the street and no one was hurt. The guy was pretty toasty, since he went on to hit a telephone pole and once his wheel came off he decided to drive another block. Then one of our neighbors found him wondering around with his GPS to trying to figure out where he was. It was like an episode of COPS!
So now we're waiting for insurance folks to show.
Oh no!! Thank goodness we have the 2nd show of the two parter for Dr. Who, otherwise Josh would be making a desparate run to Blockbuster or Hollywood. Either way, I have a bad, bad feeling that I am going to wind up crying at the end of this episode. Josh will have to regale me with tales of what would happen if Daleks fought Superman. Given my newly increased comic knowledge thanks to watching Doomsday with Kevin and Josh, I'd have to say I might side with the Daleks on this one . . . afterall, Doomsday himself gave Superman a pretty good run for the money! Ok - geek fest is over, time for part II of the Doomsday episode.
Homemade Peeps (of a sort)

Now if only we could find the camera cord, I could upload pictures. On today's cooking docket: homemade marshmellow peeps of a sort, lasagna, stuffed manicotti, and salsa verde carnitas. The lasagna, carnitas and peeps are for Jen and Cara - part of the food festival happening for them given the arrival of baby Catherine. Some of the peeps are for us though - marshmellow-y goodness!!
Josh outdid himself again this year. He and Kev planned another great day for Chrissie and me. It started with Mother's, then to Powells, then to the Musuem of Craft (where we found a great jewelry artist, Ananda Khalsa, whose works are beautiful), then to TeaZone, then a sidetrip to the new Cupcake Jones, and then to Aerosoles--all topped off with dinner cooked by Kev and Josh. Plus on the big day I got a lovely arrangement from Edible Arrangements and dinner at Busters! love you sweetie!
so Josh has been planning something . . . and today is the "big day". For the past few weeks, he's been non-committal on what our plans were for this weekend. Hanging out with Kev and Chrissie? Going up to Seattle? What? Reply: "I don't know." Tricksy Josh! So, it is 9:30 am and we're off - can't wait to see what is in store!
