First day of 2009
Was fun indeed. We slept over Kevin & Chrissie's after ringing in the new year with several games of Inca Gold and one game of Munchkin (tip for next time: more backstabbing!!!). It is a wonderful thing to wake up to sausages, mini donuts and playing the Wii. And I even got some sewing in on the first day of the year -- I'm going to take it as a good omen for handcrafting activities in 2009. One of my resolutions is to make one something new from one of the cookbooks I have each month. This month is already covered by the bread from "Artisian Bread in 5 Minutes or Less," which is the best bread cooking book ever. I forecast much bread in the Rosenbaum household's future. I may have to make something from the other cookbook Josh got me for Christmas, since technically I made the first batch of bread in December . . .

All your talk about this bread is making my mouth water. I'm going to have to jump into the deep end and make some myself! So good to talk earlier this week. Thanks for all the wonderful gifts. I can't wait to decide what I'm going to do with that yummy yarn, and just know that there will be a handmade gift involving rodents in return for my fun squirrel tea towels. :-)
